The City is going Green!
On March 12th, a notice was mailed to all City residents and businesses at their ComEd billing address announcing the resumption of our Electric Aggregation Program. You don't need to do anything to participate!
City residents and small businesses will enjoy a new benefit. Residents will pay the exact same rate billed by ComEd and the City will be credited with 100% Renewable/Green Energy, at no additional cost to the residents or the City.
Review your notice carefully, as ratepayers receive different notices, depending, for example, if you've already enrolled with another supplier. Some accounts remain at ComEd and others will enroll with Chicago-based Eligo Energy. (You need take no action and will automatically be included unless you contracted with another supplier.) All pay the same rate, and the City receives Renewable Energy Certificates representing Green power for all.
