The City of Chicago Heights received confirmation of funding through Cook County and FEMA for more than $2.3M to fund the cost of the westside stormwater study. The Phase 1 plan for the westside is part of a comprehensive citywide stormwater study to mitigate flooding. The City will receive funding to cover the cost of design and engineering for all phases of the stormwater plan, and for construction in Phase 1, which includes sanitary storm sewer lining as well as manhole and catch basin repairs and upgrades.
