Inactive Accounts

An account is eligible for inactivation if the property will be unoccupied for at least three consecutive months. The water must be turned off from the b-box and the bill must be paid in full. The city must access the property on an annual basis to inspect the water meter during the inactive period. Inactive Account Instructions


  1. Turn water off from the B-box
  2. Final reading.
  3. Pay the final bill in full.
  4. Fill out an application for inactivating the account.
