Chicago Heights police officers took to the roof once again at the Dunkin' Donuts at 431 West 14th Street to raise funds for the Illinois Special Olympics Torch Run. The police department had officers greeting customers from the roof, while officers at the drive-thru catered coffee and collected donations!
The department also set up a dunk tank in the parking lot, and delighted donors stepped up to dunk police officers, including a queue who were lining up for Police Chief Thomas Rogers!
Everyone had a great time at the event and the department's Special Olympics Coordinator, Detective Ryan Fitzgibbons, noted that it raised more than $2,400.
