National Night Out

On Tuesday, August 3rd, Ward 4 Alderman Chris Baikauskas and Park District Commissioner Michele Baikauskas hosted an early evening bike ride in recognition of National Night Out.

National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie.

The group gathered at the Chicago Heights Middle School with their bikes and helmets, ready to enjoy a ride along the Old Plank Road Trail.

Mr. Clark Willams, of Clark Cycle, joined the group and offered helmet and cycling safety lessons for all cyclists before hitting the trail!

Chicago Heights cycling enthusiasts welcomed the news that Clark Cycle will be opening a bicycle shop in the fall of 2021, located at 1025 Dixie Highway.

The combination of great weather and community participation made it a wonderful night in celebration of this year’s National Night Out!
