Frigid Temperatures are Here
Over the next several days and into the holiday weekend, temperatures will continue to drop.
Please be mindful and follow some simple safety guidelines.
Wear Sunglasses... even in the winter. If you're walking in the snow during the day, wear sunglasses to protect your eyes from the glare. If you are walking at night, make sure to dress in colors other than white and to wear something reflective on your person to alert drivers to your presence.
You might be jealous of your dog or cat's fur coat when temperatures drop, but they need to be kept warm, too.
Dog walking services suggest dog walks should be limited to 10 minutes.
Bring them indoors, but if you can’t, make sure they have shelter to keep warm and water that won’t freeze.
As always, please remember to check on family, friends, neighbors, and especially the elderly, to ensure they are safe and secure during the frigid cold weather.
