*Parkway Tree Partnership Program

The City of Chicago Heights has created a Parkway Tree Partnership Program to facilitate replanting along city streets where ash trees were removed.

The new program is based on a cooperative agreement between the City and the resident where the resident selects a tree from a recommended list of native and disease resistant trees, signs the Tree Maintenance Agreement, partners with the City on the cost  of the tree, and the City plants the tree in the parkway in front of the resident’s home. To participate, residents must own the home where they are requesting a parkway tree and their parkway must be deemed suitable for planting by both our forestry foreman and JULIE (Joint Utility Locating Information for Excavators).
