Please Note: The Union Pacific Railroad has scheduled a planned closure for repair work at the railroad crossing located on East 22nd Street (and Stewart Avenue) in Chicago Heights. The planned closure is scheduled to begin at 7:00 AM on Thursday, September 15th and will be completed on Saturday, September 17th at 5:00 PM. The City’s engineers are in the field completing the final specifications for the Westside Neighborhood Drainage Improvement project. The engineering team will be in all of the project areas conducting land surveys, gathering data and providing the final design for the project including:
The final specifications and design will include repairs and upgrades that will improve the performance of the storm sewer system and other improvements to alleviate flooding in the project area.
