Payment Arrangements

The City of Chicago Heights offers a payment arrangement once per year to assist customers that are unable to pay their water bill. The customer must pay 50% of the current balance; the remaining balance will be divided into 4 monthly payments.

An account is considered ineligible for a payment arrangement if water services has already been disconnected or if the account has been declared delinquent or if a previous arrangement was not in good standing. If the agreement is not followed, the arrangement then becomes void and the customer will not be able to enter into another arrangement for one year to the date.

No Payment Arrangements

An owner may request for no Payment Arrangements to be allowed for his/her rental properties. A written request must be submitted and on file indicating the properties affected. This request may be revoked at any time per the owner’s request.

Payment Arrangement Steps

  1. Pay 50 percent of the current balance.
  2. Remaining balance split into 4 monthly payments.
  3. Sign the agreement. The agreement must be signed within 1 week of the arrangement, or the agreement will become void.
  4. Show proof of identification.
