Residents wishing to conduct a garage or an estate sale in the City must obtain a permit to do so. Each residence is allowed two (2) garage sale permits per calendar year. Two (2) advertising signs are permitted to be displayed on the property where the sale is being conducted. Two (2) directional signs are also permitted. However, permission is required from the owners of the property on which the directional signs are being displayed. All sales must end by the end of daylight and all signs must be removed. A non-compliance notice will be issued if signs are not removed in the proper timeframe.
The license fee is $6 for two consecutive days. A “rain date” will be given if the sale is canceled due to rain. Contact the Clerk’s Office for rescheduling of the additional day.
